Everything has a begining and an end. Am still in the process of doubting any possibility of having me see the end of my usage of twitter.
Its been almost four years since I set my eye on the application. My elder cousin and a look up to at the time owned a blackberry and was frequently on the twitter App
Just like every sincere person I know, looking at twitter for the first time, u find it a little vague to read meaning into it. After a couple of freshman twitter questions of how to follow, get followed, retweet and quote tweet, get mentions and all the 100 questions about twitter session, I signed up on twitter with @chyka902
This was in 2009. My cousin owned a blackberry 8520 spending the then 5000 MTN monthly subscription. I didn't own a blackberry, I had a nokia 3500. Did I care? My opera mini could acess www.twitter.com . I got following some cool tweeps and I soon started liking what I saw on My TL
Within my first week on twitter @genevievennaji1 replied a tweet of mine that wanted to confirm if she was truly meeting tuface on a more personal note while on a flight as she tweeted. She responded it was the first really and that the indibia boy was also looking fresh.
Wow* An application that got me my Tv goddess miss Nnaji. I was impressed. within the next months in my first year in the university I got a blackberry storm early 2010. This was to discard a tweet that said u needed to changed ur fone if u pressed keypad number 2 3 times to get a C. I was now on the qwerty game. I also transformed the 10 Mb on the snaptu app for a BIS with a direct same more enhanced twitter App. I must say I am 80% was the only reason I wanted a blackberry.
Twitter became my personal addiction. The robost contacts I made on twitter got me contacted to channels that made me believe the whole world was brought directly to my screen. Media houses, celebrities, individuals, and the whole twitter package became my greatest love.
Inspirational principles from tweeps like @tweetoracle exposes the mind to greatness. Observing the crazyness and stupidity people is another thing very glaring. Don't judge a book by its cover but at of the abundance of the heart does the finger tweet. Twitter exposed the whole world to a certain degree for me. I see our politicians politicize veherently while our youths are swaddled into believing the future is bright.
Twitter actually is my addiction. The way things trend and people get noticed is quite fascinating. I enjoy going through my twitter time line when am bored just to examine people's mindset, I like to encounter bright minds like @egbas and @TrendsNG . While some dumb heads I would not like to mention teach me lessons in mistakes I didn't have to make. I am sorry I am overrating twitter but till the App goes into extinction. God speaks to me through it.
