In all God Is Good All the Time

In all... God is Good All the Time. If you want it to be good for you all the time. Be Good All the Time. Simple

Just do good things. Good things will come.

What you sow you reap. Exactly as it is.

So balance your equation if you want good, do good. If you do bad. You will get bad.

This is simple. This is the issue.

AN ADDRESS BY THE GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY, CHIEF WILLIE OBIANO TO MARK THE 2016 ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY ON FRIDAY JANUARY 15, 2016.

PROTOCOL

Fellow citizens, today is an important day in our national history. It is a day when we look beyond the divisive gulfs that stand in the way of our national unity and reflect on the ties that bind us to one another.

Ndi Anambra, since the dawn of political independence, the Nigerian Armed Forces have proved to be the Noah's Ark of our national unity; saving us from the endless storms that test our resolve to stand together as one, indivisible entity.  This has often come at a great price. It was in tribute to this supreme sacrifice that Thomas Jefferson, one of America's Founding Fathers, once observed that "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots."

Fellow compatriots, our national unity, and the freedoms it confers on us are preserved by the blood of brave men and women who pay the supreme price on a daily basis to preserve them. Time and time again, History reminds us that for every story of great nationhood there is an intimidating narrative of wars, conflicts and bravery.  The Nigerian experience follows this same trajectory. Our service men and women have willfully laid down their lives for a better Nigeria, a better Africa and a better world!

For the better half of the last century, our gallant service men and women have risen to the call of history to preserve our freedoms and the freedoms of our neighbours. They did it in several Peacekeeping Missions in the Congo and in Liberia,  Sierra Leone, Sudan, Cote D' Ivoire, Burundi, Sudan, South Sudan, Guinea Bissau and Mali.

Back home, they have held aloft the shield of liberty through three years of a horrific Civil War and pockets of internal uprisings that constantly threaten Nigeria with disintegration. Today, our armed forces are up in arms in one of the most complicated wars known to man – a war without clearly defined borders …the War on Terror!

Fellow compatriots; the war on terror is a bizarre warfare! It has defied the genius of many celebrated military strategists and made various superpowers of conventional warfare look ordinary. It is to the credit of our gallant servicemen and women that this virulent affliction has not spread beyond one region of the country.

So, as we lay our wreaths before the statue of the UNKNOWN SOLDIER across the country today, we honour their memory, their bravery and their valour. But perhaps more importantly, we acknowledge the priceless blood that they shed to nourish the tree of liberty.

It is on this note that I ask everyone in this assembly to stand up for a moment of silence in honour of our fallen heroes!

 God bless Anambra State

God bless Nigeria

Blogging for Social Development: Social Media Hangout Debuts in Awka, Anambra State

On Monday, 4th January 2016, Anambra's rising status as the safest and trending state in Nigeria paved way for a Social Media Hangout (SMH). The event held at Karaoke Lounge, Prince Paradise Hotels, Awka is the maiden edition of the gathering of social media influencers. Taking "Meeting to Know" as a theme, this monthly activity will unite Social Media players across Anambra's cyberspace as well as introduce "Connect, Convince, Convert" as the new initiative and better approach to dwelling on the online community.

The event starting at 6:00 pm was attended by about 100 guests consisting of bloggers coming from a variety of backgrounds. Among them, there were members from Anambra Online Publishers, representatives from Students Community Bloggers; members of Online Publishers Association of Nigeria; and other high earning bloggers. Additionally, Facebook and Twitter Dwellers also showed up including persons from Diaspora like Anugo Ezekaka (London), Obinna Akorah (Turkey) and Ben Umeh (Lagos) amongst others. As special guests, there were Sir Willie Nwokoye (Principal Secretary to Gov Willie Obiano), Chido Obidiegwu, James Eze, Emeka Ozumba and Mike Ogbuekwu (Senior Special Assistants to Anambra State Governor on Events, Media, Publicity and Agriculture respectively) as well as Mike Meze of Brande Aristotle and Winning Concepts Consortium.

There was also performance from Kingsley Ezekwe, an Anambra Born singer based in Portharcourt and popularly known as Bobie. The act had the gathering to have casual feel and lively content.

The event was opened with a special drink and fresh fish delicacy preceded by self introduction by all that was present. Amidst the merriment and a soft classical tune, Ifeanyi Aniagoh, the Senior Special Assistant to Gov Willie Obiano on Social Media, welcomed the guests and explained the need for the Hangout. He discussed about Gov Willie Obiano's commitment to creating online leaders showing competitive trait for global challenges and excellent leadership, entrepreneurship and social responsibility. Moreover, he frowned at youths being enemies at themselves as a result of negative use of the cyberspace. "Social Media Hangout offers us as a new initiative the opportunity to key into Gov Obiano's commitment to youth entrepreneurship by means of nurturing competent future leaders for global challenges. We have the means to empower ourselves and redirect the thinking of our fellow youths towards building a better future for themselves by making positive use of the Social Media today," said Aniagoh.

Speaking further, Aniagoh reviewed the activities of Anambra Youths online. He compared the empowerment potentials inherent therein and highlighted a fact that most young people still maintain tendency to take on e-thuggery. "Being induced to attack anyone online makes you an e-thug, a praise singer without future," he explained.

Willie Nwokoye, dressed in a pair of jeans pants and a shirt to match, was involved in the discussion held for almost 5 hours. He shared his experience when pursuing education. He compared the opportunities of being a young journalist then and now. In his opinion, an effective collaboration, creativity and network from all parties are required to advance quality online activities. "With a quality social media engagement, the youths can alleviate the effects of unemployment," he said.

Accordingly, youths should be more informed about the potentials that abound online in order to boast standard of living. Prior to the closure, Kelechi Kalu, blogger at breakingnewsngr.com shared his experience at the SMH promising to contribute immensely to ensure social reorientation of the youths. Thanking Gov Obiano for creating the conducive environment for such a historic gathering, Kelechi explained that Social Media Hangout is a unique network providing excellent informative platform and everlasting learning experience matching with individual requirements.

Other than functioning as just a medium of meeting, the Social Media Hangout is also intended to be a place to disseminate information on the importance of decorum, unity of purpose and human resources quality in cyberspace. SMH pictures, videos and stories are published and share to blogs and social media accounts managed by the participants.

At the end of the event, social media users were able to bond and learn more. It was quite private and intimate. Having talked about so many things that matter to the participants as Social Media influencers, they left more motivated to blog for social development.

Silence and patience

I happen to be at a point in my life where keen observation and inner conviction plays a role to assist most of my decisions

I am convinced there is proof to everything. Nothing is really a secret. Something is a secret because you do not know. When you know, when you have information. It is no longer a secret, it is open news. Easy as #ABCD

I never appreciated more than at a time like this, the concept of silence followed by patience.

Gives you the prompt to ask for directions and also gives you the opportunity to see alternatives and choose the best route.

Be silent often, gives room for clarity.
Patience is the best time, everything is ready after you have been patient.

Practice these concepts. They make life better.

Corporate Street Boy Interviews Fast Rising Nigerian Rapper @BLAQBONEZ

I had the opportunity to be granted an online interview with "a very known under the ground now seen" rapper
Known as @Blaqbonez. Ask google more about him later .. Find out first hand, about a couple of things...

Corporate-Street-Boy: Please give us a brief back ground check on BLAQBONEZ, maybe we could know you more personally with this..

@BLAQBONEZ Yo, I'm Blaqbonez, future of the rap game (by faith), Oau blacksheep, put together a modafucka 😀

Corporate-Street-Boy: When and how did you start your rap game?

@BLAQBONEZ: 2010 i think, i was supposed to be studying for Jamb, and i had this cousin that played me a certain 14 year old Rapper named Lil H, i got inspired somehow, and i have been rapping since

Corporate-Street-Boy: Can you remember your first recorded song?

@Blaqbonez Cover of Ice prince oleku, incurred damages to the studio i used, so the total bills drowned me. I never did anything with the song, i don't even know where that song is anymore

Corporate-Street-Boy: How many songs have you recorded alone?

@Blaqbonez: Omo i no know o, some people have over 100 of my songs, I'm guessing i have maybe 200 or so, I'v released too many, i guess

Corporate-Street-Boy: How many songs have you been featured on?

@Blaqbonez: so many ...

Corporate-Street-Boy: You seemed to have made music projects in compilations? As regards Eps, Mixtapes and all that... Can you hint us on them?

@Blaqbonez I love making new music, so embarking on projects is always fun, the rush that comes with people waiting for a tape is priceless, makes me wanna go again.

Corporate-Street-Boy: I have been a follower of your game, you seemed to have done a lot back in Ile-Ife, would you still call there your fan base home? And where do you think you have the largest number of fans right now?

@Blaqbonez: Is there o, oau na my people forever, dem dey fuck up sometimes, me sef dey over fuck up, but that's my home basically.

Corporate-Street-Boy: I also know, you were a good "diss man" if you ever got angry with something, the booth settled the quarrel, all the disses you made in the booth , are they still lingering in reality? (With the persons?)

@Blaqbonez: Not really, before i started Rapping, i was on a Facebook group where rappers battle, you diss the guy today - people laugh it off and y'all back to normal tomorrow. That's sorta the mindset i used to make diss songs from, till reality hit, these people don't think like me, it actually hurts, and there are several ripple effects, so i stopped.

Corporate-Street-Boy: What can be said to be your best and worst moments so far?

@Blaqbonez: This a question I'd be able to answer when I'm big, cos I'm hardly above water, its almost like my best aint even that far from my worst, though the Hennessey artistry was a fun time.

Corporate-Street-Boy: BlaqBonez Is becoming A HouseHold Name in the nigerian Music Industry, How did this happen over the years?

@Blaqbonez: Blaqbonez is not a household name yet biko, (laughs) I am still working on that, I'd let you know when it is, regardless we are grateful for how far the name has spread.

Corporate-Street-Boy: It is 2016, I know you have been talking about "power moves only" and with your current project CTAT which is viral and the Henessy cypher which is of top class.. You really seem to be in power. What do we expect next?

@Blaqbonez: Mainstream music, A music video this first quarter, more push and stuff.....

Corporate-Street-Boy: As one who has been privileged to follow your music movement well, you have had shows with the A-List Guys in the same Arena with you, With their Body Language and probably verbal language, tell me their reactions with the way you are penetrating the Main Stream?

@Blaqbonez: There's almost no reactions, at shows they see you but don't really see you, for them they are there to just work, do what they have to and they are out, except @Vectorthaviper though, he always has some advice up his sleeves, Great guy.

Corporate-Street-Boy: It is also not yet public news, the platform or even Team which has been behind the coordination of your career lately.. Would you please tell us the secret? Let's know these people and be grateful to them..

@Blaqbonez: Oto, Ayo jaguda basically, the goons. More information would come at a later time

Corporate-Street-Boy: Who are your best friends in the industry right now?

@Blaqbonez: Best friends is a funny term, but I'v got a few hommies, Ola dips. Chinko, ycee, Vector, milli and them Oaps. It's necessary to know some people and be friends with them

Corporate-Street-Boy: Do you think you have enemies in the industry now?

@Blaqbonez: Yes

Corporate-Street-Boy: Does blaqbonez have an official first lady? Please let's be the first to know..

@Blaqbonez: Nope

Corporate-Street-Boy: If you could do something to change the Nigerian Music industry, what will it be?

@Blaqbonez: Put Blaqbonez up there among the Elite, and see how it goes from there. Promote more hiphop anyways, its what we all tryna do

Corporate-Street-Boy: The Song "Who" blasts heavily on my playlist... I like the vibe and intel, what inspired that Hit Song?

@Blaqbonez: Errrr, the anticipation for the tape wasn't exactly where i wanted it to be, so i knew the next song out had to be some hard ass, wtf was he doing type of song, so i put my mind to that, and it was good

Corporate-Street-Boy: Lots of Rappers, on the internet and the streets of Nigeria look up to you with or without you knowing... How ready are you to become a mentor to these people?

@Blaqbonez: Omo i dunno o, its not easy to have people from different school of thought like you. It's hard sometimes to communicate properly, i hope the music can speak to all

Corporate-Street-Boy: Having come this far, what can I tell the world for them to consider as BLAQBONE's "latest line of thought"

@Blaqbonez: Make that fucking money

Corporate-Street-Boy: Thanks for your time.

(You heard it all... Follow on twitter @BLAQBONEZ , next big thing)

I think I am finally in a time I always wanted.

January 2, 2016.

I was done with Unizik for real. Next was NYSC. I could do the ghost thing. I didn't have a job except for the one I created from being bored. I could write, talk/rap, read, think and move around to keep myself busy... It was my routine. It gave me a job. I was a writer, a rapper, a consultant.

Back in school one major limitation was having to always attend lectures, but somehow, I feel so free now.

Looks like the time I always wanted... Time to be on the social network with all my skills doing what I do best with my platform Fresh Dealers and my blog Corporatestreetboy*

Now who knows how many more stages am gonna rock?

How many more emails?

How many more government officials

Managing directors of corporations?

How many youths to learn and teach?

It is going to be fun.

It is the time......

Looking for advice.

If you know me, I advice you take a walk in the morning. For any reason. You have time to reason.

It is a habit or a ritual for me already.

My walk this morning and I am in this primary school hall where a wedding is being prepared for at the field and some youths also playing soccer at the other end of the field.

Somehow, I am the only one in the hall.

if you know too, I am a rapper. A good free style rapper.. The words and it meanings come to me on the spot, I barely have to think nor talk of write to give you a complete song with 3 verses or even a 10 minute freestyle with or without a beat.

Cut short, I was rapping and tried the skill of rap with whatever is written around you... I looked at the wall corners... See what I found!

_ Motto : Be A Good Citizen
Get a move on. Effort must precede reward
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today
Lost time is never found again
Manners maketh a man.
Success requires pains and brains
Little courtesies sweeten life
leisure is sweet when it follows work well done.

I was highly happy. They were good words for me at the time. I stopped rapping and wrote.

Obiano's New Year Message in 57 Tweets

1.    Happy New Year!

2.    Congratulations to @AlexOttiAbia, @APGANigeria and Ndi Abia. The victory remains a great New Year gift.

3.    This New Year, Anambra has so much to look forward to

4.    We shall make the most of this Turning Point

5.    The hard fought electioneering campaigns that led to the last general elections sought to deepen the country's fault-lines...

6.    ... and widen the ethnic gulf between Nigerians.

7.    The situation was made more intense by the rising audacity of Boko Haram which led to more attacks against soft targets.

8.    Our country tottered on the brinks for long moments and was only saved from total collapse by sheer providence.

9.    In Anambra, we had foreseen the approaching storm and made adequate preparations for it.

10. That was why in my New Year Broadcast for 2015, I had assured Ndi Anambra that our dreams would not crash with the falling oil prices.

11. I had assured that with our enormous human and material resources, we would not surrender our ambitions to the falling oil prices

12. To the Glory of God, we have kept our promise.

13. Not only have we paid salaries regularly while others are looking for bailouts,

14. ... we were courageous enough to increase salaries in the midst of economic adversity.

15. I imposed full weight on the security situation in the state with a highly successful South East/Delta States Regional Security Summit

16. We further strengthened our hold on security by donating 25 Smart cars to the Nigerian Police.

17. We also donated a gunboat to the Outpost of the Nigerian Navy in Onitsha to keep vigilance over our waterways...

18. ... which have been identified as the main conduit through which illicit arms had flooded the state in the past.

19. We took our campaign for a safer Anambra higher this Yuletide Season with an aerial surveillance with a helicopter hovering across our skies

20. This we are doing in partnership with the @NigerianPolice, ensuring a total coverage of the entire state.

21. With this effort, we have effectively made a rapid transition to crime detection and prevention in the war against crime and criminality

22. As it stands today, Anambra is the safest state in Nigeria!

23. My administration has made giant strides in the drive for investment

24. With an estimated $2.5bn attracted in 19 months, Anambra ranks next to Lagos and Ogun States in investment inflow

25. The influx of foreign investors began early in January 2015 with the arrival of a 28-man Trade Delegation from Thailand.

26. Unmoved by the bleak domestic economy, we continued to push for more investments, leading to the visit of the Irish Trade Mission...

27. ... and finally the arrival of the UK Trade Mission in November 2015.

28. Despite the obvious challenges, 2015 represented a watershed in the Agricultural Revolution in Anambra State.

29. Not only did we witness the first rice harvest from mechanized farming...

30. ... we also increased our rice production from 80,000 metric tonnes to 190,000 metric tonnes.

31. I am optimistic that by the next harvest season, we would have surpassed our local consumption of 320,000 metric tonnes ...

32. ... and commenced the process of exporting Anambra Rice to places where they are on demand.

33. The stifling economic environment failed to distract us from delivering on our legacy projects

34. Two of the three Flyovers in Awka are 95 percent completed

35. The longest bridge in the state which cuts across the Omabala River to Aguleri Otu and the oilfields has also been completed

36. I commend the new leadership of APGA for its experience and enthusiasm

37. Both qualities showed during the last elections leading to the great comeback the party recorded in Anambra State House of Assembly Election

38. Indeed, the new APGA has not only demonstrated a healthy appetite for winning...

39. ... but also a great capacity to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

40. Once again, congratulations to a worthy brother in Abia, @AlexOttiAbia

41. The outgone year also bore wanton loss of lives in the various auto accidents and other tragedies that happened in our dear state

42. The petrol tanker explosion in Upper Iweka, the carnage in Umuchu, Agu Awka and Nnanka...

43. .. as well has the Christmas Eve domestic gas explosion in Nnewi and the loss of lives during the IPOB demonstrations in Onitsha.

44. These are the dark spots in our collective memory of year 2015.

45. This New Year, my administration is determined to pursue a more aggressive growth in its fundamentals.

46. We shall explore new growth prospects and review government policies that are inimical to domestic production.

47. We shall stimulate production in the real sector through a strategic collaboration with select MSMEs.

48. Already, the Anambra Small Business Association (ASBA) is spearheading this quest.

49. In June last year, ASBA disbursed the sum of N1bn in small loans to MSMEs in the state

50. That is the first phase of our programme to galvanise that important segment of the economy and boost job creation.

51. We shall rise above the present difficulties to reclaim our position as Nigeria's true centre of innovation and excellence.

52. We shall do this when we continue to earn the confidence of our brothers and sisters at home and in the Diaspora...

53. ... and win them over to become the champions of the change that we have brought to Anambra State.

54. No other state in the federation has half of the human capacity that Anambra has scattered across the world...
