The Burial of an ogboni man*

I was on my own o! Jeje rocking my new drizzy drake nothing was the same album on my music player. I was busy feeling the word play and punch lines of the TOO MUCH track when I got distracted by the sounds of native drum.
It wasn't friendly to me because for safety and condition reasons, my only ear piece that fits my personal patient of a phone is my one sided* its one rope for one ear. Their loud sounds difinetly superseded drake's smooth vocals. Something else caught my attention as I got closer to the sound of the drums, the sight of the local palm leaves around the truck that conveyed the beaters of the native drum.
I know the use and sign of the native palm fruits leaves known by my people as Omu* I know the leaf means sacredness. I was schocked when I noticed the sign of OGBONI boldly written on the shirts of all the guys playing the drum. Only then did I notice the obituary poster of the 92 year old deceased.
I soon realized it was the burial of a member of the highly sophisticated OGBONI SOCIETY. Some other youths with cutlasses, matchets , clubs and axes ranted with their weapons while substituting the present traffic warder in the position of a uniformed police man. The youths on the ogboni shirt scared the people away as they made to make way for an old man leading the convoy with a bottle of schnap and some other items not known to me.
The convoy carrying people in either the ogboni tshirt or the famous adieu papa dress had over 7 cars trying to go through the traffic jam. The red eyed youths with their weapons and ranting popped several bottles of red wine on the road as the sounds of clattering of knives to announce their prescence and create way for themselves got both cars, individuals, men of the force and probably animals to give way for the old man with his bottle of schnapp to lead the way of a convoy that I couldn't locate the coffin of the deceased. Yes, the coffin wasn't a part of this convoy chanting their way back to Woji Ph* it was my first time to see NollyWood real life. NollywOod is real o!

Nigeria @53 Are we Growing Or Failing?

Each time its another birthday of my motherland I rarely get to be really excited. I always get to think of what my nation is going through. I understand she is 53 years old today. Congratulations 53 year old under developed mother of africa. Am not a bad son of yours motherland. I am frequently caught in the act of defending you and your woes in public hearings and gatherings, I have a distaste to be a part of a group condemning you. I am always trying to paint you a good nation that would in due overcome its challenges, but on your birthday today, I have decided to send you a diss messenger like 9ice launched his diss track on friend ruggedman on his birthday.
MotherLand Nigeria in the control of President Goodluck Jonathan has continously put the affairs of the nation on a derailing part. They said fuel is 97 Naira, how many buy fuel at that rate. Our Roads are so bad while the government flies in to launch couple of million naira projects. The amount of money spent on parties according to the lagos state Governor tells a lot what Nigerians waste of less values. Asuu asked for 500 billion naira to renovate universities to make us presentable to the international commitee and the government said they don't have the money.
Nigerians should look the government in the eye and tell them they are failing us. Corruption is the control number as bribery has the heart of everybody. Checks and balances of powers in government only comes as a lobby instrument and goes quiet once the usual business happens.
If my motherland in her leadership of president jonathan would be sincere to Nigerians and go back to the government for the people agreement, it would be wonderful for us all. The rich man is scared of death, the poor soon gets tired of life. Insecurity caused by lack of job opportunities has kept the average nigerian looking for the next opportunity to make money off another person.
We claim to have invested a lot in the Health sector yet day in day out lots of our patients our recommended to fly out if they would stand an opportunity to live. The security officer isn't thinking the safety of the people, he is thinking who to make money from. The people in the public sector and civil service don't feel like they are serving the nation, they think they are doing us a favour. Every one wants to get a pay before doing anything of any sort.
At 53 we still lack good roads. The communication sector giving quality services only when they feel like. We don't see the impacts of our tasks. We don't know what the government is doing with the oil money. Strikes hitting down the progress of projects. Politicians lobbying their way to the money and going unpunished for their evil ways. We lost hope in the courts as justice is now a mere mockery. People go to the media and make all sorts of declaration to lie to the people while the masses continues to suffer.
Mama at 53 be wise. Take the government and its efficiency back to the wards and local governments. Let the people stay wise and productive. That's the way we would grow. Government officials in Abuja go back to the grass roots. Give them a plan. Follow it to 2015. We would understand your truthfulness. Corruption should be. Capital offence. Military rules in a civilized manner and Nigerians would follow. If you can ban products, bikes and plate numbers. You can ban corruption and inefficiency.
President jonathan baptize us from OCT 1 2013. Anyone who would follow the way to growth should be shown the way to death. Nigeria has what it takes. the people, the resources and the technical know how. Show us Nigeria is clean again by letting the law be supreme over everybody. Your people at home and in diaspora would be shown the way and follow your leadership to building a growing and not failing Nigeria.

Excuses.

Nobody is perfect. Human beings are never perfect. Perfect to me, is marely a technicality and should not be used in reality. There are a thousand and one reasons why things don't go the way we plan them. There are a million reasons why somethings are the way they are.
We know how to give excuses to justify our actions in life. Man unarguably has a natural tendency to Lie to himself when trying to give reasons to justify most of his actions. The fear to take responsibility of every action we take in life gives us the urge to provide a form of shield in our excuses.
We convince our mind and that of people around us with reasons why a certain thing happened. When people don't meet up with schedules, they bring up an excuse. When people are rebuked of wrong doings, they find an excuse. There must be an excape route to justify our action. Everyone gives reasonable and unreasonable excuses intervally as long as they appear as justified as possible.
An uncle of mine told us frequently when we were much younger that the worst form of deceit was self deceit. He encouraged we took responsibility of our actions. He wanted us to have the mindset that we were responsible for our actions and learn to stop blaming other things Or people for our misdoings. He preached, Learn to stop giving Excuses....
In as much as we feel more comfortable with giving excuses which is easier, we should learn to be strong enough to take responsibilities. Excuse are like the virus to continually fest on your phone till it finally crashes.

9 hours from Ph To awka!!! Was I trekking???

Hmmmmm, it was a normal rainy saturday morning in rivers state. I was in my port harcort basement. That morning another trend followed. No one woke up before 9am. It was more like since the raining is dropping, we should still be sleeping. By 9:15 or there about I woke up, I had to travel to awka that morning.
The raining had reduced at about this time, so my cousins and I go for some exercise, on our return we branched the video game mall. Spent 2 hours there and by 1pm I was ready to make final preparations to set out of the house. I took a befitting Eba and Egusi soup to serve for both Breakfast And Lunch as I took a bath and did some final packing.
Port harcourt is known for crazy traffic jam but luckily for me, by 2pm I was in the park, I forgot one of my phones at home. I only noticed when I was close to the park,my cousin later brought the phone for me and by 3pm I got my ticket. After waiting for the car to be complete, At around 4 o'clock the bus left for awka.
Everyone in the bus did some 3 hours calculation and estimated we would be in awka before 8. The driver boated we would be there by 7pm. The driver's declaration seemed to be coming thru as we left the city of PH within 1 hour as there was no traffic jam. Our driver seemed to be on perfect acceleration and by 5:30, we were at the outskirts of river state which meant in less than 2 hours we would have been at our destination. We were wrong.
Some minutes after 6'o'clock we had just gotten into owerri to drive another 20 minutes into the first real threat of a traffic jam. It was too long and I noticed we had 3 lanes going and I lane coming. We looked ahead to notice the line was quite long and we were stuck for a while.
By 7pm we had barely moved more than 3 times without a brief stop and we noticed the first spoilt big trailer. The rad was bad and cars frquently got stuck. The passengers changed attitude by now, people started grumbling. We were there for another 1 hour till we came a little closer to notice there was a bad end of the road that cause the cars to get stuck. Another big trailer stuck there. There were now 2 hurdles.
By 8 pm we had gotten close to the 2nd hurdle when another going truck blocked the road. It had broken down. We were in the traffic jam for another hour. When it was our turn to cross the bad end that stuck the tyres. The driver asked we got down to reduce the weight. Before the hour ran out. We passed that end of it. It was 9 pm and the driver scaled through to follow a particular lane. We were lucky to get to the clear lane by 9:30. We had a problem, 2 of the passengers were missing. It tOok almost another hour to locate them among the crowd that came down to reduce the weight of their cars.
It was devastating. We were in owerri town at 10:30. It was really dark everywhere. People were really complaining about the driver who went for passengers, while some to the passengers for not being watchFul. Some like me to the government for not providing gOod roads.
We got into anambra state some minutes to midnight. Passengers had been getting continuos worry calls from relatives. Everyone had dropped at one bus stop or the other. The driver was scared we would run into hoodlums but luckily we were in awka by 1am. Them no born me well to go house that nite. I slept with the driver in the park that Nite. It was a terrible night* 9 hours to from ph city to Acity??? Even if I was trekking!!!!

What's The Essence?*

The first couple weeks of your mirage with this object, individual or commodity which has suddenly become the popular sounds of our speech, details of our actions and the rhythm of our thoughts and feelings, we just seem to have the concept of acquiring our newly treasured treasure hovering round our minds. Seeking every next opportunity that can see us making our reality and dreams simultaneous.
At a point when it seems we living in the dream world while we existing in reality, we are faced with the threat of knowing we aren't getting that which we want, we decide to pause and reorganize our strategy and keep on trying with more focus expanding our chances of converting the next opportunity to enable us make that which we want to happen to come into existence. Death.

I am a cooperate boy in a street mindset. I come from a responsible home built with the doctrines of the christian faith. My life is surrounded by people who have faith in God and tend to create a relationship with the maker. My kid brother is actually a serving priest. All this introduction to put you in the mind frame of knowing I am indeed a being with sanity. I am a normal human being just like everyone else but in the next few lines... I might want to act otherwise.
What is death? Why do people die? How do people? What says they must die? Do you know what it really feels like to Die? How many people have died? Where do people that die go to? When did dying start? When is it going to end? Why must we die? Do we have an escape route never to encounter death? Is it a must we have to die? So when I die what next? So after the stress of life I just had to die? Why? Why? Why put death in the plan? Couldn't we have done without death in the plan? Do you think you really want to die? Don't You wish dying wasn't in the plan? Damn!!! Think of it... Death is a crazy guy tormenting people one way or the other. You might want to explain how faithful you think u are with some comments, but trust me, dearie. YOU ARE SCARED TO DIE!!!!
Just like tuface idibia* nobody wan die but they wan go heaven. People don't want to die but they want to make heaven. How is that going to work? The national dailies cannot publish one edition without informing of someone's death. Accidents happen everyday. Murder happens everyday. Natural disasters occur frequently, the hospital is full already, the courts are everywhere? things happen, and people just get to cease being. They go. They have been going. Some just went now. Another just did. Some are going soon. Some later. But just like christ, death won't tell "you am coming". Be useful while u are alive today..... U can die anytime. A friend jokingly posted. Hate*

The word hate which is now not really a new word in the english speaking world has generally become a trending word. The word HATE is heard a couple of times in a day. People tend to use the word in different scenarios. The word hate often comes as a declaration of a feeling of dislike from within. This feeling of dislike is often hyped. Hate is referred to as a state of total dislike or no love like the words of american hiphop rapper eminem. Hate actually is the opposite of love.
People develop this feeling of hate consciously and unconsciously. Most times hate comes as a result of some internal consideration, experiences and desires. Humans as a being are selfish in nature. Personal interests and desires often drives the action of people. People are not known to love any principle or situation which appears not benefiting to them. People don't seem to agree with policies which they don't seem to be a part of. That state of not liking things brings about hate.
People of the world now see it as normal to refer to some people as haters and this seems to describe people who indulge in hating. People often don't like things they have been made not to like. There are experiences encountered in events that leaves its victims with ugly scars which motivate the hate for that specific element of that experience. Personal contacts with some other persons can often leave impressions which don't portray likeness. For example its now quite general for young girls to have a certain higher rate of hate for smokers. The orientation about the badness in smoking motivates the hate in them and they just don't seem to like anything that has to do with that which they don't like.
Just like love, Hate is a feeling that takes over thoughts,emotions and actions. People say they hate some certain food, subject, activity, person, culture E.T.C just because of what their thoughts tell them. Hate comes because there is this declaration from within us not to be part of a certain thing. Our thoughts are our heart desires, what we want, we like and that which is not in our league doesn't need our love. (At least that's what humans exhibit)
Hate is a feeling of rejection, hate closes the door of acceptance. People rarely can accept what they hate. When someone is not loved, the person feels rejected. The world is a universe of life. Love is life. If we want the best of life, hate is not our man. Hate destroys.....

Belief

What makes you belief? This is a question that we as humans should always ask ourselves. What sticks us to that perspective we have so much trust in? There is always this tendency for we to follow through the same pathway family, relatives and friends trend. That which has been relayed to us with great sense of belonging and genuine pattern remains the clearest picture in our mindset.
Our believes seem to guide our thinking which produces our actions in the activities of life existence. People belief according to orientation that a child is made to belief that when hunger comes, issue out a cry and food would come. Over time, this magic continues to work. A teenager also believes that wearing the trending clothes of the fashion world is the realest thing anyone their age could have. Someone of the christian faith believes making heaven is the top priority of life's existence. Our politicians could also be said to have the belief that transferring public funds for personal consumption is the real business of politics. These beliefs can continue on and on with an endless list.
The first four words of this piece asked a question as regards the reasons why we belief in certain courses. The mind and the brain accepts, processes and outputs information for human beings. The fact we are convinced about a certain conviction stipulates the degree to how strong we build our beliefs. Socialization processes from different social groups lay the foundation for the kind of doctrines and beliefs we indulge in.
The human race is a diverse entity and so are beliefs. People belief things because of how convinced they are about a certain thing. People also belief based on the fact that they were born with such dogmas while some others have no other choice but to follow the multitude. The basis upon which belief is built simply has to do with the impact of the activities of one from conception to death. What we know, we know. And that we don't know, we don't know.
To Belief is something of the mind. it often has to do with personal faith. Believes are the fuel for our actions, we can act in a certain way because we believe such actions bring about certain results. Our believes don't always lead us to where we want to be but it keeps us going. All you need to do is Believe.

Choices

There is a common question asked on planet earth these days. The question, why? This question seems to want to find out the reason behind decisions. There is always a reason to every decision. The process and factors that govern our direction and dimension of our decisions sum up to our choices of life.
Choices are made to declare interest, to show one's desire. When an individual wants something, he strives to get it. Decisions are made everyday by individuals. The choice of the particular food to eat, the clothes to wear, the places to go and basically everything we engage in is traced down to the personal in-heart decisions we make.
Choices are personal, they come from within, human beings often take various steps into consideration before finalizing for a particular choice. We seek to make our interests known by the choices we declare. We choose what we want, every choice in every second makes for the action of that second.
Choices are influenced. Most choices are made based on certain conditions which tend to look favorable to the individual making the choice. People only want to choose what benefits them. There is always a desire to make a choice profitable to the person making it. Choices are decisions of our everyday life. We make them consciously and unconsciously. Our altitude to life determines our choice.
Choices are random decisions made by people , choices differ as people do. There are different choices we make and they are based on different situations. A wrong choice for a wrong situation might not be agreed by many. Choices tend to be different according to people's emotions, desires, feelings and attitudes. One necessary element expected of choices would be for it to be made in a state of mind in positivity. If the choices we make every second of our life are positive, we would have chosen to live a positive life.

The power of a smile

The power of a smile cannot be over emphasized, it sure carries tremendous power. A smile is the best attire you can ever put on. How awful will you look after putting on a three piece suit and meeting all the ethics of dressing without putting on a smile? A smile is a language which even a child understands- everyone understands a smile, both the literate and the non literate, the poor and the rich, big and small.

A smile costs nothing but it creates much, Solomon Jesse said "A merry heart does good like medicine". Smiling makes you look younger and healthier. Scientists have said that it takes 74 muscles to frown but only 14 to smile, why not maximize the 14. Any face that lacks a smile will look younger than it should. A smile may happen in a flash but the memory of it lasts a life time. A smile an open a door for you, it can make a friend for you and it and relief the depressed.

So what does it take to smile? Nothing! Just start smiling. Some people will say "I may n lot be smiling but in my heart I'm always cheerful". But like our philosophy says "A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance". In other words, "The state of your heart determines the state of your face". You cannot tell me you are cheerful inside while you are frowning outside. Outside will always reflect the inside. After all it is only God that sees the heart, what we all see is the face. So don't blame us when we run away from you, because we are not God we are human beings. God looks not as man looks- God looks at the heart, man looks at the face!

There is power in smiling.

I Believe In My Self.

Who are you? What do you think you are? What gives you the impetus to think...... I mean, who gave you the audacity to say you believe in yourself? Those were the words of a friend of mine to me when I said I believed in myself to attain a certain height I had set for myself.
We got talking as usual on one of those days that were tagged boring because we had nothing to do. We either had no where to go or nothing in particular to do. So the usual talking and discussing began. From How things were going on in the society to what was said to be the latest happening in town to what we intended doing with our lives, the stories would just linger till something bailed us out of our talking sessions into something more lucrative.
On this particular talking session with my friends. At the sector of things we intend to do came in. I said I wanted to own a registered business name that would be recognized as a formidable force in the media and publicity world. I actually went on to say that my firm would be ranked among the most sort after in the society upon our graduation from college. That was when those harsh questions of who told me and what gave me the impetus sprang up! My friend probably felt I was doing more of a tongue waggle or trying to play the role of a waggish person. My statement could have sounded clever and intelligent but it came as too much of a joke than reality to his ears.
I meant what I was saying. I had a believe in myself or atleast in my thoughts. I felt I could do it. It was in my intention to fix up something lucrative and legal to start my ordeal. Apparently, Today. That friend of mine is a principal partner in my growing registered business name Fresh Dealers Concept. I haven't graduated yet, we are not the most sort after yet. But one thing matters to me. We are here now, its all going to be a matter of time till we become the best and even if we are never rated the best, the least we would do is remain relevant in the society.

Be Sick! Suffer from Sucess.

I woke up this morning as usual, gave thanks to God that I have been given another opportunity to make a difference. My best friend and companion, my phone is not far fetched. I get to it. My head phone is plugged in, now playing is activated and am in that mode.
Music is one major source of inspiration to me. There comes a song from lil wayne. He dropped a line.... Too much money is not enough money. I smiled, not like I had not heard the word play before, just that I felt that thrilling stimuli of the true fact that too much money wasn't just enough money.
The words of my late grandpa to my father about there always being room at the top of the top came ringing in my head again. The next song got playing and jay Z on the song history went on to say that success is like lust, one never gets enough of her. I just knew every moment needed to be successful or atleast one needed to work towards that often.
We all should get diagnosed of success. A Nigerian rapper as I was informed by one of the trending blogs called Olamide, posted a picture of himself in a plane flying to the federal capital territory Abuja for a show and he captioned the picture. Suffering from success. Yes. He called it suffering, am sure he doesn't want any form of treatment on this particular ailment. My food for thought this morning would be attain success till it looks like success was becoming a problem.

If you were asked "What is the problem of Africa?" what will be your sincere answer? Africa as far as I am concerned by potential is suppose to be the greatest continent on planet earth yet it is the poorest. What a paradox!

The greatest mineral resources are in African soil ranging from crude oil to gold, silver, limestone, zinc, and so on. Yet the first four poorest countries in the world are African countries. Using Nigeria as a case study, she is the sixth largest oil producing country in the world but at the same time the 26th poorest country in the world.

At the same time, a country like Singapore has no natural resource, I mean not even one but she is rated as a developed or first world country. The present world power as she is called- The United States of America, does not have half of the natural resources most poor African nations have. So what makes the difference if not what a country has?

Well, the silver lining between a country like Singapore and a country like Nigeria, a country like America and a country like Somalia is what we want to talk about.

African's problem cannot be encapsulated ideally in one word that is not "IGNORANCE". You can't give me any other reason why a continent that is blessed with such natural resources would not be able to convert it to its material equivalent. What else will make leaders of a country (Nigeria) during the pre-colonial times sell its people to slavery in exchange for things like powder and mirror if not "gross ignorance". God was not wrong when he said "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge". Not for lack of prayers and fasting, if it were, Africa would have been the greatest continent because I don't think that there are so much churches as we have in Africa. I tell you the truth and i lie not. if lack of prayers were the problem of Nigeria, our problem would have been long solved. If prayers repaired roads, I'm not sure there will be any un tarred road in Nigeria. Nigeria and Africa are places of high religions which I guess has compounded our problems. But no! Prayers cannot take the place of knowledge!
Our Generation can make a change. Embrace knowledge in education its a power we all need.

The Creator, The Creature and The Creative

Philosophy: "And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion…"

God is the creator, we are the creatures and both of us are the creative. Our philosophy above says that God made us in His image, after His likeness- The image in this scripture represents His physique while the likeness represents His attributes and capabilities. Therefore, we can say that we look like God and that we have His characteristics. And one of His major characteristic is "CREATIVITY"- "In the beginning God created… (Gen1:1)". The first thing God did is attributed to creativity. And since we are made in God's image and likeness, it means we are creative- We have the creative ability.

Every human being is creative, whether we believe it or not. But it is a pity how many die without unleashing their creative power. Because the creative power was given to us as a potential, but it is our duty to unleash that potential. And if you don't, it will remain dormant in you. A realization of this truth is the beginning of creativity. The Americans for instance are not right because they are white. No! It is the realization of this truth that puts them in command.

The Webster dictionary defines creativity as bringing into being: cause to exist: Make or produce something. It must not be an invention but it could be- It can be a book, an album or some other thing but make sure you are producing something different, making something new, bringing into being something unique and causing to exist something spectacular. Somebody said God stooped creating on the sixth day, on the seventh day which He began to rest He handed to us the baton of creation.

God created the tree but it is left for us to create the furniture. God created the sand but it is left for us to create the block and build the house. So God has even made the work very easy for us because everything we will create is already in what He has created.

So you may be asking me how you will tap into this creative power? Well, that is a good question. There are a couple of ways, but for the purpose of being concise, we will mention a few: Tap into the power of your mind and brain- Take the advice of E.W Kenyon "Read until your brain sweat". Think and meditate. Pray to tap into the realm of the supernatural. And you are ready to draw from the depths of your creativity. Don't let anybody deceive you, you are as creative as any other person, your area of creativity may just be different.
For as a popular saying goes when we die, its not our physical death that hurts, its what dies in us that hurts.

Children are often known to like anything that involves some kind of play and entertainment. Kids would always be known to be happy when they smile and giggle over anything that entertains them. They are known to quickly reject that which they dislike by just issuing out their cry. In their little minds as babies, they still show that sign of no appreciation and no comfort with that cry.
Its now very common for the first 10 years to have some high school engagement where there is a broader exposure of the life. New people are met, and more activities are introduced to an individual who will always want to support and engage in those activities which they feel is cool to them. You see people loving the music club and hating the karat team while you have those interested in politics in the higher institutions paying less attention to religion, fashion or even the education itself.
There Is this tendency of people to just take decisions based on whatever they feel, which most of the time others may not feel is necessary and appropriate. When people are still alive they have a mission, they have a desire, they strive towards it. They just want that which they said they want. Ada doesn't believe Her Red Bag is less Beautiful than Chioma's own. Samson can't afford to agree that Okey's shoe is of higher quality. People just practice a lot of culture Ethnocentrism where they just believe their values are most supreme. Everyone wants to feel the highest value of the existence of this world.
WhereEver you are now, No matter the condition you are facing now, you are a living soul existing in the land of the living. You complete the number anytime they say the world consists of about 7billion people. No one is you. Have you ever seen a burial where someone else aside the being in the casket is put 6 feets down? No! You are responsible for your life* Appreciate your life and do that which you would be proud of to hear as the lines of your Biography. Philosophy: "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things"- Paul of Tarsus

As I read and pondered on these words of Paul, I concluded that maturity can be measured by what you say (words), how you understand (understanding) and what & how you think (thought).

Starting from what you say; we can deduce to a large extent how mature you are by your words. We see a lot of people who talk before they think which is suppose to be the other way round. Now, if your success is at the mercy of what you say, will you succeed? I have even seen Christians who contradict their prayers by their confession- They pray for wealth yet they confess "I don't have money". When I see someone talking like that, I can conclude that their maturity is questionable not withstanding their age. Think thoroughly before you talk, it is better not to say anything than to say something unreasonable. Knowledge talks, wisdom listens.

How do you understand things? "Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom but in all thy getting, be understanding" said an old time philosopher. I make bold to say that understanding can be gotten! Hear me- There is a disparity between knowledge and understanding. Knowledge is what you read; understanding is what you get from what you have read. Somebody asked me one day- "How come you understand so much?" I will answer this question in a moment. Stay in touch.

Understanding is what makes the difference between you and me. The reason Dr David Oyedepo will read the same book I read and get a higher result than I got is UNDERSTANDING. So how do I get understanding? One of the primary ways to flow in the realm of unusual understanding is by meditation. How do I know? Hear what David Jesse said, a man who is a replica of what understanding is, "...The meditation of my heart shall be of understanding". Meditation means to ponder on, to think through. The more you meditate about a matter, the better your understanding of that matter.

The Desire to get something done the way we want it, often, might not end up on the right track we assumed. There Is a tendency for something to go wrong and cause a mishap. This Mishap is caused by a wrong doing frequently referred to as a MISTAKE
Mistakes are most described as ingredients of failure and actions that don't lead us to the right results. The process of not doing something the right way knowingly or unknowingly is seen as a mistake in the society. An inability to make a right choice in the market is a mistake, marrying the wrong spouse is a mistake, Missing a button on your shirt is a mistake. An inability to make the right decision is a pathway to a decision made in mistake.
There are a lot of decision making processes to be undertaken by the Human race in a bid to fulfill the daily activities of the world. Thoughts are generated, feelings are felt, desires are activated, choices are made, decisions are taken and accessed by different individuals who are entitled to their own opinions. Every human has some sort of sense of belonging in the task of taking charge of their lives in doing what is necessary To see through their objectives everyday. Sometimes, they fail, Sometimes they succeed but when the former happens, they see a mistake.
Mistakes are bound to be made irrespective of the status quo of the individual involved. As it is popularly said that "No One Is Perfect" no one can stay without mistakes, mistakes are bound to be made, allow your mistakes turn into stepping stones. Don't be afraid of mistakes, make them, recognize them and learn from them. Mistakes are the price for success. Am representing, I should be Senator.

Am just in my early twenties so the constitution of my country doesn't allow me to be just yet that constitutionally. I mean am not the guy who was elected to represent my senatorial district at the federal level. So probably am not a senator.
I had the opportunity to be a senator, I mean the real time I could be called a senator officially. In my 2nd year in college, I could via for the position to represent my department at the students representative council at the students union government level. I was actually getting happy I was finally proving a title I had already cling ed to 3 years before. FaceBook the most popular TV station everyone is watching has me say my name was Senator-chika Ela Nwagod. Family and other forces forced that dream to die. I didn't run that election but I still was representing in the politics field.
My name Actually is Chika Onyebuchi Nwachuku. Ela is actually a nickname I inherited from my elder brother while in high school. He left barely a year after I came in. I was representing him by taking the name. As a young kid people always said I talked a lot. I remember relatives already calling me lawyer ikpe ama (Lawyer wey no fit dey wrong) In primary 3 , there was this Tv program production team "Kiddies View" my friend and I represented our school. It was fun to come back from school on thursday and get the kudos of I saw u on Tv. I was representing.......
High School was a boarding school. It took a lot of to survive a day without being at the right place at the wrong time. It attracted a lot of strokes when u fail to be where they expect you to be. Most times when you are where they expect you to be you still get strokes for not meeting up with the standards! I collected strokes... I represented those they flogged well. Gypsies were those that avoided being at those places that could get strokes, they only surfaced at calm hours. They were on flight Mode. By my third year, I got a house outside the hostel dormitory. I was on flight mode* My house was an airplane, I was representing.....
The Redeemed christian church and the Anglican communion are two churches I have attended often. I had my services to the ushering, Drama and Choir departments at one time or the other. I was representing....
At a time, am grown. I want to represent me. I have represented a lot of others, Journalism made me a reporter and a marketer, My college days sees me loving Theatre. I want to represent Hip Hop Billboards, My desire is to represent their screens, I am representing Radio air waves already and I write what they buy... Am representing more of what I like, My whole dream gave a business name FRESH DEALERS CONCEPTS @freshdealers and I want to stay that fresh, till I come for my senatorial seat by 2039, by then , I don represent area for every sector!

Life is a BEACH! Play in the sands!

Its No more new news to hear people call life a lot of things, some say is a prophesy, some say its a game, some say its a destiny, some say its not a bed of roses, some say its a gamble while a whole lot of the hip hop world say its a B*t*h with a big behind. I could quote Lil wayne on another cooler version when he said life was a beach, he acknowledged to also be playing in the sands..... I was happy for him.
Life as we may all seem to be living it, may not be as easy as we expect it to be. I mean it wasn't funny back in my days in FGC okigwe, the bell for jogging goes by 5am, the regulator happens to be a house member,infact he is my dorm mate* he could signal he is going for the bell, and we are ready to go. As he is ringing the bell we are strolling to the venue, some prefect, is still gonna flog us before we get to the jogging spot* he believes we shld be there before the bell. Wow* this wasn't funny. Seriously,it was always annoying getting to be punished unnecessarily,but they told us its the school LiFE. We had to live it. Even though it gave us tots of hell when you are mass drilled by strokes of cane from prefects or teachers Life certainly looks like hell. Looking back at my highschool organizations and groups there is more laughter when we talk about those so called painful moments.
We want things in life and we don't get them, but we still have to continue existence, Rick ross in a song was asking a question, if he was right about the fact that regardless of what happens in life, she would just continue going on. She would continue happening if Nelson Madiba dies today, if obama does, if obasanjo does, nothing happens, and life pauses. Life is always on the run and so should we. There is no use crying over a spilt milk, find some Nutri milk for your throats. For the english man will always say, no matter how much milk you lose, don't just lose your Cow. I prefer to say life is a race from conception to death, just run fast in every meter of the race.
People Have a tendency to think so much about the past, getting worried over a lot of things. They always think of things they can't change* when something goes wrong, learn a lesson and be more aware of the next moment. Life is full of mistakes, make them and learn from them. Recognize your mistakes and let them turn into stepping stones of achieving brighter things. Don't have a negative attitude, be positive about it , life is a big beach, play in the sands, and jump with fun, receive a little rashes on your back with some stains on your shorts as you are rolling and playing in the sands, whenever you think you are dirty, clean yourself with fresh water immediately,rest if you want, but if you want to play in the sands again, pls do jump in. What Are U Thinking

It usually starts with that gradual turn and then somehow it becomes a serious movement involving more parts of your body, this usually leads you to the moment you are now conscious of the fact you are now actively in this other end of the universe* You are now awake for the new day. Its morning....
As a human being existing in this planet, I tried to figure out what was on people's minds when they wake up every morning. Do they believe there is a certain pattern to be followed everyday? Do they have a certain Agreed patten For that Certain day? Or Do they just adjust to a pattern as they wake up that day? How do People organize their lives smoothly everyday? I was thinking about this because, living my life hasnt been that easy I must say.
Human Beings are involved in a lot of activities daily, and it just made me wonder how everyone thought about going about the thinking process of implenting the activities of our everyday existence. How did we do our programming and timing? What's our benchmark for that which we do.
I want to believe people are fully conscious of every move they make every second of every minute in every hour that makes the days of our lives* The Mind is to play the role of the eyes before the body moves. The Mind should be the eyes of the brains. People Are To accept that, the brain and the mind are two elements, who must always work parri passau (hand-In-Hand). what you think, what you feel, what you believe gives your brain the waves it operates on.
I just thought people should be brought to the attention of been conscious. The economy may be too bad for us to pay some levies, but we should be aware that it only costs being attentively conscious to pay attention. We should learn to pay attention to intelligent and Excellent values and morals of life. for these brilliant ways of life have proven to be only those that bring the sucess that we desire as human beings.
For Every Action we take in life, we took a decision. The decisions we make, positive or negative define the choices we make in life. Whatever choices we make in life, would define who we would become in life. For we cannot be that, which we are not. A goat can't bore a lion. What you sow, you shall reap. In My Dream,Cash Kamp! Was the camp!

I was there, I could see it clearly, we just dropped from the taxi, I can also recall it was an airport taxi. I remember not having so many black faces around, or rather, there were many white faces around. Somewhere in my dream, I figured we weren't in Nigeria. I think remembering seeing a signpost that read New York.Yes, we were in newyork
I had this friend of mine, he was friends with Ereku Gbemi, he has told me that he had to be there for the show* kept saying something about kash kamp going to do a takeover for over some months lately, so we weren't missing the show in NY on this tour!
I was kinda eager to know what's up with the kash kamp as I knew the carter from 9ja had been commiting murder on the father and sons of the game. I knew he was a mic wrecker! I also wanted to see him perform live.
The taxi dropped, then..... Somehow we are in this classy club that just seems like a video of WE THE BEST crew popping drinks with the YMCMB gang while the mayback and good music guys were all around bits of each of what constituted as the audience of the club, all the E faces seemed to want to be in one club this night* I then realized most people in the club wore a TV face. It was a concert by one of the big names!!! Performances and appearances were done and appreciated and its tyme for the young 6ix to do his tin
There was this roar of applause from the audience as he started with plenty money, Am an African, Zombie and rolled into Oh My Gosh!!! You needed to hear the crowd.... GoSH!!!. 6ix then performed international, and the internationals arose in applause,he further teased them with change ur style and while they tot he was done, he went on and wrapped it up with first class, the lines were first class kanye and jigga commented, Ti, Nas and Rickross all tryna make a deal, they kept telling the press he was good , I wanted to run an interview on Nas then my alarm!!!! 7am!!! (First Class.... 7:30am!!!). I woke up, it was a dream but I know I saw it clearly, Kash Kamp was the Kamp! Yung6ix at the time 6'o'clock would be a living legend like the shinning stars and lightening Moon, he indeed can make the sun sweat!!!!!

Date To Marry By Miracle Ihuoma.

Why do you want to date? If you are dating already, why are you dating? Are you stunned by that question? Does it seem like I am being confrontational? Please I apologize if I am. But do you know that more than 70% of people will have to think for some time before answering that question? And a good chunk of the remaining percentage will become defensive or just ignore the question. But if you don't 'why' you are doing something, I don't think you should be doing it. Hmmm…how true is that? Considering the fact that a lot of young people are dating now not because of any logical reason but rather how they feel. Have you realized that one of the prevalent characteristics of a mad person or lightly put 'mentally challenged' person is that (s)he does things without reasons (knowing why)? Please don't get me wrong, I have not said you are in sane if you are dating and don't know why. I don't intend saying it, but I'm just trying to broaden your horizon and expand your awareness on this pertinent issue.

I remember how this question asked above caused an uproar in my room in the university. The three persons I asked were perplexed and dumbfounded and two could not give me any logical reason at the end of the day, while one said he was dating because he needed to be satisfying his sexual desire. Obviously, non of them wanted to marry the ladies they were going out with. It got me thinking, of course if you know me you will know that I think a lot.

But the truth is that if you are dating a person because of sex, I don't think you are suppose to be dating, what you actually need a prostitute or better put a sex partner. If you are dating because you are lonely, what you need is a company not a date.

Dating should be a time for preparation before marriage. Dating should be a time for interview (not intercourse)- getting to know the person you have intention to get married to, all things remaining equal. Dating is suppose to lead to marriage. Date to marry! A lot of people have reduced dating to having fun and whiling away time but I don't think that was and is the idea behind dating.

How much more oil must we lose, its time to have a change of heath

Part 1
Nigeria is my motherland. Am an Adult citizen. I have a right to uphold and honour her glory, as long as God keeps me whole. I have always been taught to be a patriotic citizen of this nation and to do my best to wish her all the best. We were told we are the leaders of tommorow when I was in primary school. I plan to be a part of a good leadership in the future as I am an ardent follower of the present. The freedom of Information Bill or Act which is now officially abided my law has given me another priviledge to exercise my right to freedom of thought.
I got thinking lately, Nigeria Is the Giant of africa. Nigeria is a senior member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting countries. We are said to be blessed with abundant Natural resources from the crude oil to mineral resources to agricultural products. They say Nigeria is a blessed country with lots of resources, Human resources not excluded too. Yet, my people wallow in poverty. My country lacks a lot. Making use of one of the commonest facilities made available to the world in the form of the internet, I would like to know how many nations haven't attained uniterrupted power supply, how many nations have such bad roads like we do. How many nations lack basic health care facilities? The question is, Are our resources not good enough to provide for us? Is Nigeria under a curse not to develop? What is holding us back? Everyone needs to get serious about finding a solution to this question.
While I urge everyone to figure out what is happening to us, I figured out one big problem. There is no love in nigeria. Everybody wants to be at the top. Everyone is doing anything to make money. Our Leaders have left us a system filled with non-chalant policies that induce nothing but corruption. Everyone wants to make the money quick, No one wants to follow the due process. The Due process now is bribery and corruption. Yes, that's the way forward the country has taken. The Government of the people for the people by the people is now a total fallacy. Oligarchy, the government of a few interested in the oil money is what we have. They go into the government with the sole intension of spending the oil money in their selfish interests. Few people in government put the people first ahead of their personal gains. The oil money has brought corruption to our government. Nigeria is our country but the oil is for private pockets and this has to be stopped sooner than later. Part 2 coming next......

If Soludo joins PDM

Former central bank Governor ChuKwuma soludo who came up as a runner up at the last governorship lost the election to occupy the position of Governor of anambra state under the PDP platform has this year also lost the primary of election of the APGA political party this year in the same bid to win the seat of governor of anambra.
Mr soludo was on some grounds not qualified to run the election under Apga as he could not pass the party's screening. Recently, reports has it that Chief soludo is in talks with the newly floated People's Democratic Movement that has a lot of alliances of former vice president Atiku Abubakar. It was gathered that there is a possibility that soludo would run the election this year under PDM. Let's see how this goes.

Science could be talking about some kind of species and make reference to million years ago. While Religion dates back to thousands of years ago. Lots of things have been said to have happened in the past. So many that we can't tell which is true or not.
We have come to understand that people existed on earth before we came into existence through the writings of the past and until the recent past, videos. People who were here in the past have left an impact which is the form which we see the world in today. I like a part of the bible which says in the begining the world was formless. It makes me understand the necessity to put form into life everyday.
Great philosophers, Great Entertainers, Great writers, Great warriors and Great Leaders of all times have shown the world in various ways, the different forms they can bring to the world and put them in practice for the world to see, learn and practice.
A Friend of mine explains Life as a movie where everyone is playing a role. Some playing a more active role than the others because they appreciate the opportunity given to them to become an Ambassador on this planet Earth. The world presently has billions of people, am sure billions have died and billions are coming but the truth is, you have only one opportunity which is a life time to show the rest of the people coming here what you got!
Life is too Short, Leave An Impact For Enternity before its too late. You have only one chance , I need not remind you of DRAKE's YOLO. You live only once folks. Make sure your impact is widely recognized and accepted as Impactful. Maintaining Success. By Miracle.

Philosophy: "Charisma without character will lead to catastrophe"

You know, it is easy to blame those that have succeeded and still exhibit some character flaws as being undisciplined. But I have come to realize that it is more difficult to maintain success than to achieve it.

What builds a house is not what maintains it, so also what takes you to the top is not what keeps you there. Skills and charisma will take you to the top said a wise man but character will keep you there- Potentials, talents and skills may only make you successful but it takes character to maintain that success.

It is true that we can't totally live without flaws, but your ability to minimize your weakness by maximizing your strength is what matters. There are some people's names I will mention and you may not be able to point out any visible weakness that they possess not because they don't have but because it has been minimized. Like somebody said that "Success is the ability to minimize your error".

There are three areas everybody must be able to master very well to remain successful:

1. SEX: Your sex life is not a news yet because you are not yet a news, when you become a news, your sex life will also become a news. Imagine if president Obama sleeps with a lady today, CNN,SKY NEWS, NTA, AIT, Network, New York Times, Punch and son will all carry the news but me and you do it today, nobody may know except we and the person that did it. The sex drive is the strongest drive we have in human nature, so your ability to manage it matters a lot. Bill Clinton was supposed to be the best president America ever produced but he wasn't. Why? Because he slept with Mornica Lewinsky. Ethyl Messin was supposed to be one of the greatest footballers Nigeria ever produced but today rots in prison because of a sex scandal. Samuel B. Kent, a federal district judge in Texas was impeached because of a sex scandal also. Can you see how sex brought these great men down? If there is no other reason why you should abstain from sex outside the marriage environment, do it because you want to be great.

Are You a Learner? By Miracle

As I sit at the balcony of my house with my pen and book thinking on how to start writing this article, I just had a flashback to about six, seven years ago when I used to go and buy books from a particular Christian/motivational book shop. The bookshop is not the issue here but the salesgirl in the book shop. After about one or two years of patronage, as my custom was I went to buy myself a book one of those days when I discovered that she was pregnant. Note that she wasn't married; she became pregnant out of wedlock. I couldn't believe my eyes. I wondered why she could become pregnant out of wedlock when she works in a bookshop that contains books that could teach her how to combat her habit. I pondered how she could be in the river and wash her eyes with spittle. I asked, is it that she didn't read the books or she refused paying attention to the wisdom in the books?

She became an epitome of the person Solomon Jesse talked about in proverbs chapter one- "How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning and fools hate knowledge…? But you have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear comes. Wisdom cries without, she utters her voice in the streets: She cries in the chief places of concourse, in the goings of the gates: in the city she utters her words…."

Apparently, she wasn't a learner. It's so disheartening that when people say you are a learner today, they mean that you are a novice. Well…I would rather be a novice learning than not learn at all and be considered wise. Wisdom is in learning. Foolishness is in pride.

Boundary Ajegunle is a place where the cheapest books are being sold yet Ajegunle which is ironically the base of wealth remains poor and its people keep wallowing in servitude and mediocrity. Young people, learn! Learn! Unlearn! And relearn! Keep learning! Learn from books, learn from tapes, learn from seminars
