 Questions are supposed to have answers. Except the answers are unknown (which means for the particular question and particular time, with the people around, no one could give an answer, hence the answer was unknown.)  

Another scenario could be that the answers could be known but it had been hidden, so that question seemed not to have an answer, simply because the answer was untold, it was withheld, not yet revealed.

 Knowledge proves and often times gives answers to questions. Ask who the president of a country is and the answer will be given. Most questions have answers, it depends on how you try to find out the answers. Who you ask, determines what you will hear. 

Most men have a mind, a brain, a thinking and observing faculty within them. This instrument makes them people that have to find out. Their inquisitive nature makes them people that have to discover things, people who things have to be revealed to. Since in them lies the quest to know.
