Increase and better life are figments of enjoyments and earthly progress. Hence, the average man wants to enjoy* while he is alive. Pleasure is good, this is evident is man's quest for it. 

The feeling and experience of the pleasure of an earthly life includes the possession of moments through having the ability to make certain things happen or the possession of material things in terms of houses, investments, cars, clothes e.t.c 

The way man has organized his system, money, power and influence are the instruments to allocate to one's self the pleasures of the earth

Everyone knows the pleasure but not everyone gets it. Then men began to struggle, they began to use various means to get what they wanted. Even if it meant to hurt his fellow human being. Man began to do bad just because he wanted to enjoy earthly pleasures.

Ever since, what men have done for money, power and influence? Very evil.
