It has been like this for days, the cold had made all his joints numb, his fingers were frost bitten and painfully dead
He could hardly move, barely breath.
He crumbled to the floor, and lay there
Suddenly while he was lying down, he saw a shape. He couldn't make out what it was, but it was coming towards him with a basket. Floating, dancing, gliding towards him. He was filled with joy, a little streak of warmth ran through him just for a tiny second.
Then her face appeared over his. Her big brown eyes, her full lips, her oval face, her fair, smooth, soft skin.
'Nneoma' He croaked
'Yes my love' she answered in that voice. Sweet sounding melody. She raised his head to her knees. Her fingers were sooo cold.
'Rest my love. Just close your eyes and rest.'
He nodded and closed his eyes. He found it relaxing.
The cold kept seeping through his skin and he drifted off into the cold hands of death.
He meant all he said to her, she knew he was very sincere even in his last moments. She was so deep in love with him even as she so him die, she knew she was only going to love him more. He was dying but still loving her more. He was going to love her till death and ever....
